建設業は土木と建築にわかれます。
異業種交流会で建設業の方々と話す機会があり、NETIS（建設業新技術活用データベース）について説明しました。しかし反応が薄いと感じていたところ、参加者の多くが建築・不動産・資材関連で、土木中心のNETISとは領域が異なることに気づきました。
なるほど、話がかみ合いにくいのも当然です。それでも、長年取り組んできたテーマですので、機会を見つけてていねいにプロモーションしていこうと思います。
NETIS is all about civil engineering!
The construction industry is divided into two main sectors: civil engineering and architecture/building construction.
I once had the chance to speak with people from the construction industry at a cross-industry networking event, where I explained NETIS (a database for new technologies in construction). However, I sensed a lack of interest; I then realized that most of the attendees were from the fields of architecture, real estate, and materials—sectors distinct from the civil engineering focus of NETIS.
It makes sense, then, that it was difficult to get on the same wavelength. Even so, since this is a subject I have been dedicated to for many years, I intend to keep looking for opportunities to promote it thoroughly.
